Essen, Rheingau, January 2019 – Deutsche Industrieanlagen (DIAG) has acquired ownership of Ferrostaal Industrieanlagen (FIA), headquartered in Rheingau, Germany, as of 1 January 2019. This acquisition consolidates the DIAG Group’s international presence in the oil & gas, renewable energies, materials handling/processing and infrastructure segments.
“This allows us not only to provide additional plant engineering expertise gained over decades but also, thanks to our new employees, to now handle large-scale projects across the entire value creation chain – from project identification through conception, feasibility studies and development to financing and realization,” said Dr Klaus Lesker, Managing Partner of DIAG.

FIA is currently carrying out a large-scale, Deutsche Bank-financed project for Ukrainian pipeline operator Ukrtransgaz. Modernization of the pipeline will increase compressor station service life and efficiency. In addition to this, in the coming months the DIAG Group and its subsidiary IPS Australia will expand their portfolios in the turbo machine maintenance, service, overhauling and spare parts supply sector, in particular in the Oceania and South-East Asia regions.
