Essen, June 2019 – After the successful launch of the largest wind park in Mongolia, DIAG Essen and its partner, Euro Khan, have now taken over the 15-year maintenance contract for this project. The Sainshand Wind Park with its 25 turbines (55 MW) has a contract value of approx. US$ 120 million and supplies more than 100,000 households with electricity.

The Service Agreement includes maintenance, repairs and security of the wind park, located approx. 460 kilometres south-east of the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar. The facility was built by a consortium including, among others, Engie, the French power supply company, and Ferrostaal Industrieanlagen (FIA), a subsidiary of DIAG. Negotiations for the construction of further wind turbines are currently ongoing.
