Industrial plants around the world
In the mid-1960’s the German national government took several companies in the plant construction segment, all located in encircled West Berlin and thus at a competitive disadvantage, and amalgamated them into one company, Deutsche Industrieanlagen AG. The 90% state-owned company subsequently transferred its headquarters to Reichartshausen Castle, situated in the heart of a famous winegrowing region on the Rhine, at the end of the 1960’s. During this period numerous activities and production sites were developed in South-East Asia, Africa and South America.
Within the scope of later privatization of state-owned assets, the company changed hands several times. In 1990 it was taken over by what is today MAN SE, before fusing with MAN GHH Oil&Gas in 2002 to form MAN Ferrostaal Industrieanlagen (FIA), headquartered in nearby Geisenheim.
Since 2018 DIAG has been an independent company with a new set-up. Key shareholdings include Ferrostaal Industrieanlagen GmbH, DIAG Industries, IPS in Australia and Euro Khan in Mongolia. Flat hierarchies and flexible structures ensure that DIAG remains at the forefront of technical developments and facilitate continuous expansion of the portfolio.
